Design by Eero Saarinen, 1956.
First introduced in 1956, the Tulip™ Tables demonstrate Eero Saarinen's distinct ability to balance art and technology. Impeccable lines and symmetry mark this 47" circular table from the collection. Constructed from molded, cast aluminum polished and coated in a tough, abrasion-resistant Rilsan finish. The 47" table is available in wood, laminate, coated and natural marble and natural granite top finishes, in a wide range of colors. The base finish is available in White, Black or Platinum.
Note that coated marble tops are offered in two finishes: standard Polished or Satin. The satin finished marble creates a matte sheen that gives the top a natural honed appearance while offering the same protective qualities as the Polished polyester coated marble finish. Satin finish is not available on Natural Marbles.
ExtraWhite Marble is currently on product hold/unavailable. Saarinen Dining Tables with Laminate, Natural Marble, Veneer or Granite tops are Greenguard certified. The Knoll logo is stamped into the base of the Saarinen Tables. Tops have nameplate with designer's signature. Marbles with a polyester coating will yellow over time. Not suitable for outdoor use.
Material(s): Molded cast aluminum with laminate, wood veneer, marble or granite

Half a table
By: Suzanne, Homeowner (Atlanta)
I received an email to review this table. I'm sure it will look great once I have the whole thing, but UPS Freight lost the table top (how one loses a box that big I don't know) so I've been staring at a table base the past 2 weeks. It has been a nighmare getting this resolved and I'm really dissapointed as I've waited years to finally buy this table.
My wife and I love the table.
By: Lee W., Homeowner (Ellicott City Md)
To repeat - my wife and I love this table. We had purchased a similar looking table a few years ago from a store in Baltimore to save a few dollars. WIthin a couple of weeks we began having problems with stains being hard to remove and squeaking. After a year we got rid of it. Poor quality table and unsatisfactory customer service. This table is very solid. We have spilled a variety of liquids on it and it cleans right up. In addition to the excellent table quality, we felt the YLiving service was excellent. The person who handled our order was very knowledgable and was able to answer our questions. The order entry policy was simple. The free white glove delivery cemented the deal. We were planning on buying from a local company but the charged for delivery. The company who delivered the table was efficient and quick. We are very pleased with YLiving and will buy from them again. Lee W.
Classic design, well built, and perfectly sized for our dinette
By: Lindsay, Designer (San Francisco, CA)
We bought the white laminate top and you can't see any seams which adds to the sleek appearance. The 47-inch size fit perfectly in our smallish dining space. The table comfortably fits 4 people but could accommodate six if you needed to.

We had been eyeing the Saarinen table for many years, but it was a bit more than we wanted to spend on a table. After going back and forth, we decided to stop compromising and purchase the Knoll Saarinen. We are absolutely thrilled with its iconic design. Ordering through yliving was a good experience overall.
Worth the Wait

It took awhile to arrive but it was well worth the wait. The table is just gorgeous - classic and elegant yet, playful.
