Design by Eero Saarinen, 1956.
Eero Saarinen's distinctive 96-Inch Oval Table is the result of years of research and design revisions by Saarinen. In his search for a table that made sense of comfort, legroom and ample space for seating, the designer arrived at his pedestal base "Tulip" series. Tulip™ Tables are marked by the precise lines and impeccable construction of their central base in molded, cast aluminum that is polished and coated in a tough, abrasion-resistant Rilsan finish. The oblong table top, available in a variety of materials, offers an expansive surface for entertaining or for use as a large office table. And the pedestal base contributes to the table's balanced aesthetic while opening up the space underneath.
- Beveled-edge table top
- Table top attaches to pedestal base with threaded rod
- Table tops offered in a wide range of woods, marbles and granites
- Heavy molded cast aluminum base, offered in several finishes
- Laminate, Natural Marble, Veneer and Granite tops are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®
- Coated marble tops are offered in two finishes: standard Polished or Satin. The satin finished marble creates a matte sheen that gives the top a natural honed appearance while offering the same protective qualities as the Polished polyester coated marble finish. Satin finish is not available on Natural Marbles.
The Knoll logo is stamped into the base of the Saarinen Tables. Tops have nameplate with designer's signature. Not suitable for outdoor use.
Knoll Saarinen table and chairs
By: Satisfied, Homeowner (Chicago)
Love everything about the table and chairs. All was done really well. One tiny glitch was no pads provided for chair bases. I Would order from Yliving again.
