Trunk Dining Table

Design by Roderick Vos, 2012.
According to designer Roderick Vos, "the fascinating organic forms from tree trunks are often surprising in their apparent simplicity and beauty", and it was this admiration that inspired the creation of the Trunk Dining Table. To add ornate intricacy to Trunk's simple wooden structure, a new CNC technique was introduced to give its oak plank surface a unique hand crafted character. Creating a dialogue between organic and technologic design languages, the blending of structural and linear elements to form a homogenous table design has become regarded a "one of a kind" project for Vos. Its unassumingly complex form is finished with industrial hardware and a linseed oil coat, delivering an honest appeal ideally suited for today's popular raw modern aesthetic.
Trunk Dining Table's frame is constructed from birch multiplex with a solid oak plank exterior. Select a Natural, Slate Grey, or Anthracite finish.

Linteloo: Feel-Good Designs for Easy Modern Living.
Linteloo was established in The Netherlands in 1993 by Jan te Lintelo.
Born into a family of furniture retailers, Jan's parents started a business, te Lintelo Wonen, which became one of the most successful stores in the region with leading international furniture collections. In his spare time Jan helped his parents in the shop, appreciating the craftsmanship of furniture making at a young age. He attended college in Rotterdam and soon started his career with cabinetmaker Pastoe in Utrecht. After several years with Pastoe and later Gelderland he decided to start his own company, Linteloo.
Linteloo was a departure from the popular Dutch Design influences of the nineties, starting a new concept with a feel-good factor that is now a famous element of Linteloo designs. Today Linteloo is a leading furniture brand with showrooms in Zeist (The Netherlands), Cologne (Germany) and Milan (Italy). Continuing to expand their reach, Linteloo now delivers comfortable designs for easy living all across the globe.
