Menu A/S

Obsessed with clever solutions and functional details, Menu collaborates with designers worldwide to create products that evoke true feelings. Passionate, original and responsible, Menu delivers high quality crisp, clean designs expressed in soft Nordic colors to create their own style they call "Soft Minimalism".

Founded in 1976, Menu A/S is a Danish design company that collaborates with talented designers in-house and worldwide to deliver high quality design with a crisp, Scandinavian look. Passionate about design, new materials and clever details, Menu strives for original designs that balance the masculine and feminine, and the tactile and sensual, to create an unusual but harmonious experience for the user.

Working strategically with innovative products, Menu's projects always have either a new function, a new material or a new production method at the heart of the design. That originality is what makes it a true Menu product.

Part of this process includes locating new partners in developing countries and around the world. Seeking local factories or small private co-operations, Menu wants the production of their high quality goods to provide the people involved in the production with a better economic foundation.

With belief in making design matter - Menu strives to create products that evoke true feelings, innovations that make a genuine difference, and by combining do-well with do-good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bookends That Make a Statement These are pretty special. They are both graceful and solid. I was a little apprehensive about buying something that "needs to be a certain way" (able to hold my heavy art books on a shelf), and all that apprehension was for naught. Right and left hemispheres are holding strong, and looking very cool.
