A few things to consider while shopping for modern desks:

Desktop Size. Modern desks come in a range of desktop sizes. Estimate how much desktop space you need by taking note of everything you want on your desk, for example, a computer, printer, task lighting or picture of your favorite pet.

Desk Height. Modern desks come in a variety of heights. Determine the right height for you by sitting in your computer chair and measuring the distance from the floor to the top of your thighs. This is the minimum amount of space you�ll want under the desk.

Storage. Do you need to store things in your desk, such as office supplies or books? Many modern desks come with built-in storage or have coordinating pieces, such as filing cabinets and shelves.

Cable Management. Most modern desks have computers and other electronics on them. If this is the case for yours, look for modern desks that allow for easy flow of the wiring.
