Modern Tables + Desks: Finding a table that "works" for you
Some clever ways to pick a modern table perfect for your space:
Cluster. A handful of small end tables can create ample surface area when clustered together. Mix and match colors and heights to create a modern table that no one else has.
Glass. Modern tables with glass tops can be deceptively large without taking up a large visual footprint. If you need the tabletop space without having the modern table consume your room, try glass.
Café Tables. Have to have a round modern table but cramped for space? Try a high café-style modern table that allows you to tuck backless stools in underneath it to avoid disrupting your household traffic pattern.
Dubs as Desk. You've eaten lunch at your desk, now do work at your lunch table, too. Many modern tables have sliding tops or pull-out extensions that allow you to get a "2-for" out of your modern table.
Pedestal Base. Seems obvious, but a pedestal base allows you to put more chairs around your modern table and has the added benefit of protecting your guests' shins from run-ins with table supports.
