Select from brushed chrome-plated steel hairpin legs or multi-ply bentwood legs. Then select wood finish and upholstery type and color.

Needed a dual purpose piece for my new loft that works as a couch and a place for guests to sleep. I ended up purchasing the King's Road Mineral which looks amazing. The couch has great support and is incredibly flexible with the removable arms.

Classic modern design that works

We bought the couch daybed and the daybed to use as sectionals. They provide a lighter look than the average sofa, they offer a nice firm seating surface, and you can remove the cushion covers for cleaning. We are completely satisfied and the shopping experience was easy. We appreciate the quicker response when we ordered fabric swatches; another maker took a month to get us the swatches.

Perfect Daybed for a Nursery with Limited Space

We searched long and hard for a daybed that would function well in a small, modern nursery. Most options on the market were too traditional or too bulky. We also wanted something that very easily converted into a daybed (because exhausted new parents don't need anything fussy), yet still maintained its identity as a sofa/nursing station during the day. The Case Study daybed fits all these functions perfectly. All you need to do is remove the cushions, and it instantly becomes a standard twin bed, with a very comfy mattress. I would recommend getting the side options with side pillows, for the extra support if you're planning to use it as a nursing station. The daybed was easy to set up and looks terrific. We are very satisfied with it!

Functional

As a full size sofa this piece has a low profile and does not overwhelm the room.

When writing about the course of his remarkable 50-year career, George Nelson described a series of creative "zaps" — moments of out-of-the-blue inspiration "when the solitary individual finds he is connected with a reality he never dreamed of."
Nelson said that for a designer to deal creatively with human needs, "he must first make a radical, conscious break with all values he identifies as antihuman." Designers also must constantly be aware of the consequences of their actions on people and society. In fact, he declared that "total design is nothing more or less than a process of relating everything to everything." So he said that rather than specializing, designers must cultivate a broad base of knowledge and understanding.
Nelson did so as few are able, and, with the help of well-timed zaps, he helped define modern, humane design.
