Overview
Grand design for small people: the children's flatware mono-petit is the little brother of mono-a and just as thoroughly thought through as the famous design icon. High grad 18/10 stainless steel, clear forms and ergonomically designed for a child's hand. Painstaking observations of children's eating habits have been central to the design. The circle at the end of the handle, with its subtle decoration, assures the perfect grip for the smallest hand. Fork tines and knife blade have been gently dulled for safety. A cheerful smiling plate and mug also complement the smile flatware set. This set includes the Smile Plate, Smile Mug and Smile Fork, Knife and Spoon.

Designer: Peter Raake
With the design of the legendary mono-a flatware, the designer, born in Hanau in 1928, made design history. He further developed many designs that have become part of German daily life. In his teaching capacity at design institutions in Darmstadt, Kassel and Ulm, as well as Professor of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Hamburg, he influenced many a young designer. In 2003 he was honored with a retrospective — 50 Years of Peter Raacke Design — at the German Technology Museum in Berlin.
