Design by Blasius Osko and Oliver Deichmann, 2006.
Designers Blasius Osko and Oliver Deichmann stumbled upon a small foldable basket in a Bulgarian market one day. It featured single slats beaded on ropes to form two hinged surfaces, which could be transformed into a curved 3-dimensional object. The design team improved this stunning mechanism both technically and visually, to create a foldable lounge chair - the Clip Chair.
When open, Clip Chair's straight identical slats form a spacious seating space that is supremely comfortable. The chair folds completely flat for easy storage when not in use. This simple design not only makes the chair highly practical, it creates a sculptural object of outstanding aesthetic value, whether folded or open.
This item should not be stored outside. Limited outdoor use.
Material(s): Solid beach, stainless steel
