This light is absolutely perfect once it was put together. It is great in my 10 year old's room. The only challenge I had was putting it together, it requires truly nimble fingers and patience. I thought it would be fun to do with my 10 year old, but it was even challenging for me. I'm capable of all sorts of projects and this presented a challenge for me. If you love the light, grab a glass of wine and settle in for an hour or more of putting it together. The completed piece is worth it!

This is a great looking light both when lit and when it is not. The fixture takes a while to assemble (took me about 2 hours), so you will need some patience, but it is worth it. However, you will need to be gentle since the plastic material it is made from has the potential to be damaged easily.

Also a little hint: when you fold the shades along the marked lines, make sure that you fold the crease well. This will ensure that the light looks the way it is supposed to.

These fixtures are gorgeous lit but putting them together is a project. You must be delicate or you can rip the plastic. The instructions are decent. It's just precise work. If you have large fingers, get someone else to do it!

This is a really cool pendant light. I got the large version and it came out exactly as I wished it would. Lighted up, the lamp looks like a million bucks!

The lamp is constructed out of dozens of plastic pieces which you fold and assemble yourself. The instructions could have been more detailed, but you figure it out sooner or later. My only gibe is that the plastic is very fragile along the folded lines and surprisingly prone to tears. Nimble fingers and a soft, deft touch will be required for successful assembly. Otherwise, you'll have to do what I did----which was to staple up the pieces that break apart. This doesn't really harm the appearance though because most of the construction disappears behind the facade after it is hung.

We used one of each size and they are all beautiful. The shadows created on the shade make the lamp. The lamp creates soft and diffused light.

A dimmable CFL didn't fit in the smallest size lamp, but a standard incandescent did.

Note: Does not come with lamp cord or canopy!

I returned this product. I expected it to be made of hard plastic. Instead, it was made of a paper-thin substance - very insubstantial. I wish that the description had more accurately portrayed the quality of the material.
