Innovative and timeless, Numi Numi Design's furniture offers longevity beyond the nursery. Manufactured in the U.S.A. using stringent safety and sustainability standards, Numi Numi Design creates compelling designs inspired by patterns in the world around us.
Numi Numi Design: Sensory-rich and curiosity engaging children's furniture.
Named after a Hebrew lullaby that means "sleep sleep", Numi Numi Design is a California company founded in 2010 by Lior Schapiro. Desiring to explore the form and texture of children's furniture, Numi Numi draws inspiration from observing patterns in nature, fashion, contemporary architecture, and even disco music.
Approaching sustainability as a standard rather than a trend, Numi Numi strives for longevity in their furniture. Their unique cribs can be converted to toddler beds or even a sofa for adults to provide an intriguing look in any room. Longevity is only one part of Numi Numi's green efforts. Preferring to work with real wood and caring where that wood comes from, any wood used in their products is FSC® (The Forest Stewardship Council™ Monitored forest management) certified.
Safety and product integrity are Numi Numi's first priority. Each furniture piece complies with and exceeds regulations formulated by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and all products are tested and approved by an ASTM laboratory. Numi Numi Design incorporates NAUF (no added urea formaldehyde) multi-ply real woods for their furniture and do not use any veneer or plastic laminated products. Non-toxic, water-based stains are used to maintain the beauty of the wood grain and do not crack. Integrated LED fixtures provide more than 30,000 hours of energy, have low energy use and remain cool to the touch.
Focusing on their main goal to produce eco-friendly products manufactured in the U.S.A., Numi Numi Design marries that goal with clean, modern design. Innovative and timeless, the products are not just designed to comply with code, but to encourage a sensory-rich, comfortable, well-organized environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
