Very nice design, with issues...

The bench looks great! I love the sleek and simple lines, and it works well in our family room space. Furthermore, I like the price! However, there are issues. The wood stain was not uniform (we have the walnut finish), and there are spots where it is lighter and darker. The finish, then, is certainly not as nice as the photos on this site. More disheartening is the fact that the wood is very soft. We have had it only 2 weeks and already there are nicks and impressions in the wood.
