Beautiful lamp but does not work on carpeted floors

I really love this lamp. My brother owns three and I could not wait to get one myself. Unfortunately this lamp is not made for carpeted surfaces. We got this for our living area and it just would not stay straight. It fell down after every 10 mins. The issue is that the body is much heavier and longer than what the best can support. We tried to put it in different ways but it just did not work for our space. Even though I loved it so much I could not keep it. In fact the product description could do with the note that this lamp does not work well for carpeted spaces.
