These reproduction bullet planters were first manufactured in the 1950's, their conical "bullet" forms inspired by the era's fascination for modern, space age style. As mid-20th century America saw technological advancements across the spectrum of modern living, so too did the world of design. The introduction of new materials allowed for new possibilities in shape, color and quality of manufactured goods. Fiberglass-reinforced resin was especially popular at the time for being lightweight and durable, while allowing for unique shapes and integral colors not possible with traditional materials. And it was quickly introduced into a wide variety of everyday objects from colorful lamps, to chairs and home accessories.

And along came the colorful, stylish bullet planter. Use it for plants, as an ice bucket, or as a catch-all for daily odds and ends. The Retro Bullet Planter is an authentic reproduction of vintage originals in shape, size, and the distinctive texture of molded fiberglass.
