Graceful and spare, Chair 1C strips the chair to its basic requirements giving it incomparable lightness both visually and physically while maintaining seated comfort. It combines sleek, clean design with high quality and exceptional durability and strength. Simple construction and a light weight enables the chair to be stacked easily and compactly.

The Chair 1 Series consists of 3 chairs varying in design and style while utilizing interchangeable components in their construction. Building with interchangeable components creates less material waste and more efficient production methods, which all contribute to responsible and sustainable design. All 3 chairs are shipped fully assembled and are stackable. Stacking also makes them ideal in a variety of environments - from public spaces, to restaurants, cafés, and in the home. The solid hardwood frame features durable construction made entirely with mortise and tenon joinery and exposed bridal joints.

The Dining Chair 1C is the final installment in a series of three. In the series, designer Buchik created three distinctively different chairs which share some of the same physical components. From a production standpoint, the approach reduces set-up time, labor and material waste contributing to responsible design. Dining Chair 1C, distinguished by its exposed joinery and angled open backrest is available in Natural Black Walnut, Natural White Oak, White Oiled White Oak or Red, Black or White lacquered finish.
