1997: Graduated from the Royal College of Art (RCA), Ceramics and Glass Dept (London, UK). After working for 2 years in London, she setup the Kana Design Labo (Freelance Design Studio). She is also a part time professor for Industrial Design and Product Design courses at prominent Universities. Her own vision of the world can be seen in her design of tableware, lighting, and interior designs.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I had been searching for an understated yet modern clock for my bathroom, and when I found the Kanae "Drops" clock, I knew it would be perfect. I initially ordered it from another online merchant, only to find out that it was considered a special order and would take 4-6 weeks to arrive. Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
Y-Tower
Y-Tower is the primary support structure of Herman Miller's SAYL™ Chair. The Y-Tower retains tension, replacing the traditional frame of task chairs. It works like the towers from which a bridge is suspended and combines with a 3D Intelligent suspension material to provide frameless back support that hugs the user's back from resting through reclining, forward leaning and twisting motions.
