Made in Italy, SLIDE Design brings life to everyday objects, starting with a well-known and unstructured material: plastic. With infinite possibilities, an innovative vision and cutting edge technologies, these bold and beautifully constructed outdoor/indoor furnishings will transform any space. Established in 2002, Slide Design has taken advantage of founder Giò Colonna Romano's 30-year know-how in manufacturing high-quality products using plastic. SLIDE headquarters and production facilities are located in Buccinasco, Milan, where all Slide products are made. The company produces 100% recyclable polyethylene furniture with rotation molding techniques that create avant-garde concepts, ideal for setting up indoor/outdoor spaces.
Slide Design creates a variety of home furnishings including seating, tables, lamps, pots and accents that often are designed in collaboration with internationally acclaimed designers including such talents as Karim Rashid, Marcel Wanders, Paola Navone, Marc Sadler and Alessandro Mendini. Committed to producing quality products and conquering a position in the market, Slide continues to expand its brand activities and created SLIDE EVENTS in 2007 and SLIDEart in 2011.

Though her unique designs may not fit into a specific niche or style that defines her artistry, Paola Navone's brilliance has developed into what it is today as a result of her early life experiences (being an active designer during the Modernist design movement, during the 80s, through the Alchimia Studio and the Memphis Studio; creating Mondo in 1988 with Giulio Cappellini; living for many years in Hong Kong; and being a pioneer of the "shabby-chic" concept, etc.), her natural talents, and concepts that consistently inspire her. Given Navone's knack for rediscovering past designs and breathing life back into the concept with a contemporary spin, the designer is quite the proponent of traditional handcrafted pieces and the beauty, quality, and the potential that comes with it; however, she doesn't dismiss the benefits and all that can be learned from industrial and technical processes. Navone's unending curiosity within the realm of matter and materials draws her towards creating well balanced pieces that combine flavors and colors (associated with the southern hemisphere and awaken feelings of warmth and memories) with rich traditions, openness, and movement (which would be associated with the taste and forms of the west).View other products by Paola Navone
