Expanding on the bar accessories from Arne Jacobsen's Cylinda-Line, Paul Smith has revamped the look for the Statement Martini Mixer with Spoon. The special titanium alloy surface lends the steel a rich, deep black color. Another surprising innovation with the Statement Martini Mixer with Spoon is a collection of statements by the British designer himself, engraved into the black surface to reveal their message in steel. Paul Smith asks us to consider thoughts such as "Take pleasure seriously" and "Start something new" as we enjoy our drinks. The statements are engraved through the titanium surface and into the stainless steel.
The inscription on the Statement Martini Mixer reads:"Start something new.....................Take pleasure seriously........................Life is not about shorter hours or longer hours, it's about every hour..........Stop making sense... logic is predictable... think differentlySeeing by doing.. doing by seeing."
The Statement Martini Mixer with Spoon is part of the Statement Bar Set that also includes a jug with strainer, cocktail shaker, ice bucket, ice tongs, glass coasters and a serving tray. The Statement series is being produced in a limited edition in 2010.

Born on 5 July 1946 in Nottinghamshire, England. Paul Smith is an established designer whose menswear collections have gained him a solid reputation in the fashion industry and earned him world-wide commercial success.
After leaving school at the age of fifteen with no career plans, Smith was thrust into a job at a local clothing warehouse by his father. Smith had little interest in his new position, and dreamed of becoming a racing cyclist. Smith's original ambitions were put to an end following a cycling accident at the age of 17. Following his accident, Smith trained as a tailor and opened up his first boutique in Nottingham.
Since showing his first menswear collection in Paris 1976, Smith has established 12 different collections under the Paul Smith label and opened boutiques throughout England, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the United States.
Known for his colorful combinations, Smith is famous for his use of multi-stripes, which appear on items designed for both men and women.
After almost three decades as an icon in the fashion industry, Smith was knighted in 2000. In 2003 Smith partnered with the textile manufacturer, Maharam, to create an upholstery textile inspired by classic pinstripe suiting and love for multi-stripes. Smith continues to play an active role in his company, serving as both designer and chairman.
Stelton was founded in Denmark, 1960 with humble beginnings selling steel hollowware. When administrative director Peter Holmblad established a cooperation with the leading Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen in 1964 they saught to create a true line of tableware where correlation of design between the individual items would always ensure harmonious table settings. The result was the now famous Cylinda-Line which was launched in 1967 and immediately attracted considerable attention for its serene and functionalist design. The company rapidly grew in Denmark and worldwide due to the success of Cylinda-Line.
Today, Stelton offers five different design-lines with products from more than 20 top-designers and thereby represents once again one of the most innovative and front-running companies of its kind. Stelton has been awarded the "ID-prize" by the Danish Design Council four times and a number of Stelton products are exhibited in a.o.The Museum of Modern Art and The Cooper-Hewitt Museum, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Victoria & Albert Museum and British Museum, London; Staatliches Museum für angewandte Kunst, Munich and Kunstindustrimuseet, Copenhagen; Louvre and Pompidou, Paris. On top of this, Stelton receives each year some of the world's most important international design prizes such as iF product design award, Red Dot, and FORM.
