The Legs Crossed Desk offers a witty play on traditional leg arrangement, challenging the conventional construction of desks that have come before it. Featuring beautiful wood construction, the desk's slender, tapered legs are elegantly balanced in a crossed formation, supporting a substantial tabletop with side by side drawers on traditional wooden runners. Though the arrangement appears percariously perched, its intelligent design possesses unassuming strength and stability. Solid oak legs, veneered oak drawer fronts, and a veneered American black walnut top offer a two-tone composition that contributes further depth and dynamism to this charming piece.

Padwick's aim is to design products and furniture that can be used in our daily lives, where the pleasure is gained both from the appearance and use of the object. He designs for retail, contract, and private clients and has been supplying stores in the United Kingdom for several years. In September 2012 he successfully launched 12 innovative designs at the London Design Festival.
