It's going to be hard to keep just one of these around. Avva Breadbasket is a remarkable host or hostess gift, but you've just got to have one (or two) for yourself too, right? This playfully interactive home accent was created by Josh Jakus. Its design is intended to ship flat. Quickly construct the basket by inserting two tabs into the pre-cut slots, keeping bread safe and warm inside. The thickness and friction of the felt keeps the assembled piece upright. The front can be opened for easy access to the toasty bread inside. Breadbasket stores flat when not in use. Or you can leave it assembled and decorative. Each breadbasket holds about 4 New York bagels and is 9" square (folded).

Breadbaskets are hand cut at Buffalo Felt in New York. Founded in 1977 in a small warehouse just outside of Buffalo, Buffalo Felt has never wavered from its focus on the fine art of cutting and finishing high-quality felt right here, in the USA.

Material(s): 100% wool

Manufacturer: Teroforma

Teroforma: Creating beautiful things with integrity in design, construction and quality.

Teroforma was created in 2006 by Anna and Andrew Hellman, driven by a desire to meet interesting people, see new places and create beautiful things. What they quickly learned was that ensuring their standards for products meant rejecting the allure of mass production. And so, the team embarked on a search for hand-picked designers and true craftsmen who could produce their products with skill and integrity - a search that lead them all over the world . Ultimately their vision emerged of the "right way" to make things in a world of scarce resources. This was a "focus on the quality and integrity of the creative process and the people involved knowing that only then can the finished product ever be considered truly beautiful."

The team at Teroforma has built a very strong idea of the ways that products should be offered to customers - simply, honestly, transparently and with a dedication to quality. They believe that products should be made to outlast their owners. And Teroforma commits that it will always be honest and thoughtful, working hard to surprise and delight its customers with carefully crafted home tools and accents for dining and entertaining.
