The delicate silhouettes of Tom Dixon's Spot Tables are formed of solid table tops and stems atop a heavy weighted base. The sturdy cast iron tables are offered with Round or Square table tops and a choice of two base sizes. Enameled table tops - offered in White or Burnt Red - are extremely durable with an extraordinary depth of color.

Tom Dixon
Born in Sfax, Tunisia in 1959, to a French/Latvian mother and an English father, Tom Dixon moved to England aged four and spent his school years in London.
It wasn't long before Tom Dixon's sculptural objects began to get recognition and commissions and exhibitions followed. This rapid increase in demand required a more plentiful and reliable source of materials. Tom Dixon turned his attention to ready-made forms and technology to feed his increased interest in industrial techniques and batch production.
As Tom Dixon's international reputation grew, he was approached by Italian furniture design company, Cappellini. He began to be taken seriously on the international stage as Cappellini worked to put some of his designs into major production.
Tom Dixon's appointment as Head of the UK design studio at the furniture retailer Habitat in 1998 was
considered controversial. He came from a self-employed background instead of a corporate culture and was never considered "establishment". Tom Dixon led the company through its biggest makeover and quickly won recognition by becoming Head of International Design in 1999 and Creative Director in 2001.
"Honestly, I can't remember ever holding an ambition to be a designer. It just slowly came over me as I rejected notions of being an artist or, a craftsman. Even today I prefer the idea of being an industrialist."
Tom Dixon's Spot Tables were launched to great acclaim at Milan Design Week, 2009. From the brand inspired by the unique heritage, innovation and robust, no nonsense engineering of the Great Britain.

Beautiful Tables
This is one of those products that you sorta gamble on when ordering online - as far as not really being sure how the material really looks up close, the true colors, the feel of the product, etc. These really exceeded my expectations. They are high quality, and they look like no other table ive seen. There are tables that try to pull of what this table accomplishes, but the others dont come close. I love the weight of the table, and the orange enamel is a perfect color for this unique product. I get the same reaction from most people that walk in and see them (i bought two orange tables, one round, one square), they say 'what are those?' and then they look and touch them and comment about how cool they are. YLiving shipped these fast, had them in about three days.
Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
