Shaker 60-78 Inch Extension Table
Overview
Made in Vermont by Vermont Farm Table.
The clean styling of the Shaker tradition was well ahead of its time and gives 'modern' a rustic touch. Embodying the authenticity of New England Shaker woodworking style, mortise-and-tenon joinery gives this table series the stability and character to endure ages of use. The Shaker Extension Table's square-edged apron, tapered legs and rectangular table top are crafted by hand from 100% solid wood. Every assembly is glued and pegged for maximum strength and durability. And each piece is fitted, pegged, sanded, and finished by hand. The Shaker 60-78 Inch Extension Table includes one 18" extension leaf to expand the table for seating up to 8 people.
The Shaker Extension Tables are made with kiln dried American hardwoods (cherry, maple, walnut or oak) and locally reclaimed pine wood from New England and Canada. Tables are guaranteed to be free of defects in materials and workmanship.

Inspired by the traditional designs of the past as well as the most cutting edge designs found across the nation today, the Vermont Farm Table's one simple goal is to design functional and timeless furniture that will last for generations. Their designers and craftsmen work with simple, functional styles and incorporate both new American hardwoods and reclaimed materials into unique handcrafted furniture.
Vermont Farm Table began in a two car garage in Shelburne, Vermont. In 2008, founder Dustin Glasscoe combined his informal design education and his interest in craft to found a company dedicated to building high quality dining room tables from reclaimed and historic New England materials. Dustin was inspired by the beautiful wood he sourced in New England for basic house repair and noticed from the onset of Vermont Farm Table that high quality, functional, and robust furniture was hard to find. From that need, grew a vision for a warmer, cleaner, more approachable piece of furniture. One built using a blend of hand-selected reclaimed materials, balanced proportions, and non-toxic finishes. And so Vermont Farm Table was born.
By 2011, Vermont Farm Table moved to a new studio in Burlington, Vermont and the product line included 50+ new products. Today, all furniture is crafted one piece at a time - made to order by size, finish and style in their Burlington workshop. Furniture is designed to maximize the utilization of raw materials and minimize the production of waste. Oil finishes and paints are all environmentally friendly water-based formulations.
Choose a style. Select a wood. Vermont Farm Table will produce a warm and inviting center for your dining space.
