The Vers 1.5R Radio/Alarm delivers real sound with a compact footprint. Vers audio systems balance good design and great sound with an environmentally sustainable mindset. This is a superb compact AM/FM sound system for iPod/iPhone with the full, rich sound you've come to expect from Vers, housed in a hand-crafted real wood cabinet. The 1.5R is designed to be a true hybrid: great as a bedside alarm, even better in the kitchen, den or office…anywhere great sound belongs.

Available in a variety of finishes, each cabinet is crafted by hand, taking over a week to build. The 15W full range speaker puts a lot of acoustic power in a very small space, making it a great sound system solution for a wide variety of environments. Dual alarm, sleep timer and favorites station settings allow the 1.5R to be customized to fit your needs. As with all of their wood accessories, for every tree used in production, Vers plants 100 more trees through their long-time partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.

The Vers 1.5R features a precision digital AM/FM tuner, energy efficient class D amplifier, a 15 watt full range speaker, rear port design for deep bass response, a dual alarm (wake to AM/FM radio or iPod*), the ability to play and charge all docking iPods, an adjustable backlit LCD with large easy-to-read display, switchable Internal / External antenna, 3.5 mm Aux-in and Aux-out and an 18 function IR remote with 25-ft range. The battery back-up saves settings in case of power loss (2 AA batteries not included).

The Vers 1.5R Radio/Alarm includes an 18 function IR remote, dock adaptors #9, #10, #13 & #14 (additonal adaptors sold separately), external AM antenna, external FM antenna, a15V 1.6A Switching Power adaptor and User's Manual.

This system delivers high-quality sound with a focus on end-to-end sustainability. Its switching power adaptor is the most energy efficient adaptor available, and unplugging it when your Vers is not in use can save you more then half the energy used to power your Vers system for a year under normal use…and reduce your carbon footprint by 33 lbs of CO2. Using less energy is good, producing less carbon is even better.

On the Vers 1.5R package, Vers chose recycled paper pulp trays, which helped reduce the overall package size by 15% - a smaller package means less carbon emitted during shipping and less waste for the customer in the end. The Vers 1E sound isolation earphone package, for example, is the only one on the market currently that is 100% post-consumer recycled paper - no plastic windows or unrecycleable plastic inner trays that are common to most earphone packaging on the market. Cleaning up wasteful packaging is not glamorous work, but it all adds up to a big difference in the end.
