Product great, not so crazy about color.

By: Margaret H., Homeowner (portland, oregon)

I love these chairs. I imagine this was a closeout special because the color was not greeted favorably by customers. Chair is sturdy, durable and very comfortable. It also looks great but would have looked a whole lot better in black or one of the other colors it is available in. This is a Halloween orange.

Comfortable and stylish pop of color!

By: Mike, Renter (New York,NY)

I purchased a pair of these chairs and they really liven up my living space! I get many complements on the bold red-orange color and they're surprisingly quite comfortable! I received them in less than a week of ordering them and am extremely happy with my choice! Thanks YLiving!

Love the panton chair

Just received the Panton Chair. The color is truly stunning with its soft contrast. Another excellant product, shipped in a timely manner. That is why Yliving is my go to place for contemporary furnishings.

I've always loved the lines of this chair!

By: Midmodgod, Homeowner (Houston)

Shipping was on time and well packed! Chair was as expected, except for one blemish on the seat area of the chair, the blemish makes the color look 'off' in that area. Otherwise I love the pop of color it brings to my office.

Verner Panton

Designer: Verner Panton

Verner Panton was an inspirational and colorful personality. A unique person with a special sense of colours, shapes, light function and room.

Over the course of his career Verner Panton (1926-1998) introduced a series of modern lamps with personalities unlike any of his Scandinavian contemporaries.

With a remarkable faith in the unlimited possibilities of the form, he worked successfully to create a new set of theories about how lighting should work and how it should influence its surroundings.

Verner Panton in his own words:
"The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination. Most people spend their lives living in dreary, grey-beige conformity, mortally afraid of usning colors. By experimenting with lighting, colors, textiles and furniture and utilizing the latest technologies, I try to show new ways, to encourage people to use their fantasy imagination and make their surroundings more exciting".

Vitra

Manufacturer: Vitra

Classic. Modern. Sustainable.

Vitra has manufactured furniture designs by Charles & Ray Eames and George Nelson since 1957. Building on this foundation, Vitra has developed a wide range of furnishings for the office, for the home and for public spaces in collaboration with progressive designers. Yet Vitra is more than just a design-oriented manufacturing company. The name also stands for the Vitra Design Museum, for a collection of modern furniture and its accompanying archive, for workshops and publications on topics of design, and for an architectural concept that unites buildings by Frank Gehry, Nicholas Grimshaw, Zaha Hadid, Tadao Ando, Alvaro Siza, Herzog & de Meuron and SANAA at the Vitra Headquarters in Birsfelden (Switzerland) and on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein (Germany).

Product longevity is central to Vitra's contribution to sustainable development; short-lived styling is avoided at all costs. This can be seen most clearly in the classical pieces of furniture that have been used for decades, had several owners and have then even ended up as a part of a collection. For Vitra, the manufacture of sustainable products means intense pre-production development, where the highest-grade materials are selected and tests are carried out that simulate 15 years of use. In order to enforce and monitor sustainable development in all business activities of the company, a work group was formed in 1986 by the name of 'Vitra and the Environment'. Because of this, Vitra can proudly claim that it has been dedicated to sustainability for nearly a quarter of a century.
