A modern interpretation of a classic sofa, the Place Four Seater designed by Jasper Morrison is low lounge seating at it's best. With carefully chosen proportions, the Place Four Seater is stylish and comfortable without the addition of decorative frills. Voluminous, slightly rounded cushions in soft fabric or leather make the Place Four Seater an inviting place to sink into after a long day or cozy up to someone special.
Thanks to a modular structure, the Place Four Seater can be reconfigured at any time. The Place Four Seater includes one left side seat, one left corner element, one center element, and one right side element to create a L-shaped configuration. Highly precise details and finishing keep the Place Four Seater attractive without compromising comfort.
Available in eight different fabrics and a wide-range of colors.

Designer: Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison is one of today's most influential industrial designers. He is renowned for his elegant and straightforward style. Born in London in 1959, Morrison studied at the Royal College of Art in London. He pursued further studies at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin on a fellowship. In 1986 he founded his own design studio in London.
Jasper Morrison became a leading figure of "New Simplicity", a movement that advocated a more modest and also more serious approach to design. In addition to furniture, he has also created lamps, home accessories, textiles, a tram system for the city of Hanover, Germany, and a bus shelter for the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein.

Product longevity is central to Vitra's contribution to sustainable development; short-lived styling is avoided at all costs. This can be seen most clearly in the classical pieces of furniture that have been used for decades, had several owners and have then even ended up as a part of a collection. For Vitra, the manufacture of sustainable products means intense pre-production development, where the highest-grade materials are selected and tests are carried out that simulate 15 years of use. In order to enforce and monitor sustainable development in all business activities of the company, a work group was formed in 1986 by the name of 'Vitra and the Environment'. Because of this, Vitra can proudly claim that it has been dedicated to sustainability for nearly a quarter of a century.
