Designer: Max + Linda Geiser
Max, a long-time Bay Area resident, grew up in San Jose, California. He lived in what is now a famous "tract home community" built by the developer, Joseph Eichler. Surrounded by clean lines and bold colors his entire life, Max was instilled with the modern belief.
Linda learned her way around a sewing machine while growing up in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She acquired her appreciation for sewing skills from her mother, who died in 1996. Soon after her mother's death, Linda inherited her mother's sewing machines and her career took off.
The couple met at the California College of Arts. Each with different aesthetic backgrounds. Max graduated in 1997 with a degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design. Linda also graduated in 1997 from CCA with a design degree in Illustration. The couple married in 1999. After the two bought their first house and were exhausted with home repairs, they decided to move forward with starting a business. When they couldn't find existing textiles to match their own personal taste and style, they began creating designs that would ultimately become Fold bedding.
Fold became Wallter in 2007 after a collection of paintable wall applications, dubbed "Wallter&qout;, received growing popularity and ultimately stepped up to become the brand's new name.
As their business has grown, so has their family. Their first child, Adam, was born in October 2001. Their second son, Owen, was born in May 2007. The two children often come to work with the couple, and soon will know their way around computer design programs like Photoshop. The family works and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Wallter was established by Max and Linda Geiser under the name Fold Bedding in 2000. Since then, the couple's vision of launching a line of decorative throw pillows has evolved into astonishing careers as quality designers of modern home decor. The company quickly expanded their assortment to include bedspreads, shams, and more. Fold introduced its line of paintable wall applications dubbed "Wallter" in 2004. With the growing popularity of Wallter, the company decided to change its name from Fold bedding to Wallter in August of 2007. Wallter continues to find voids in the home accessory market with their introduction of decorative mobiles and their collection continues to grow.
