The Box Office Letter Tray is part of a very beautiful collection of office accessories designed by Christian Ghion under the artistic direction of Philippe Starck. This collection rests on the idea of one box having multiple uses that fits all the needs of the office: Paper Clip Holder, Pencil Holder, Mobile Phone Holder, Tape Dispenser and Pencil Sharpener. They are complemented with Letter Trays featuring pretty front corrugated edges.

Christian Ghion
Born in 1958 in Montmorency, France, Christian Ghion received a law degree in Paris in 1982. He later studied at l'Ecole du Louvre and l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Cr&eactue;ation Industrielle (ENSCI), graduating in 1987.
The same year, he created, with his friend Patrick Nadeau, his own studio Ghion-Nadeau and, working on objects furniture, set and interior design, he began to make a name for himself as a designer: in 1990, he was granted the "Grand Prix de la Cr&eacture;ation de la Ville de Paris" award.
Travels in Asia gave him a great interest in new forms and original materials, both raw and man-made, that he mixes in his designs, reworking archetypes of iconography and constructing his pieces on play with elementary volumes.
The various products that he designs for the greatest names of the design world (Cappellini, Driade, Salviati, Sawaya & Moroni, Ventura, xO, among others) always come with a twist, a play on the forms: no formalism in his work, but a light fantasy and seduction, always. The ability to create highly innovative product using ancient savoir-faire he showed in his collaboration with Murano glassblowers or the surprising reinterpretations of classic decoration accessories gained him a worldwide reputations and his pieces belong to the permanent collections of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, and many other collections across the globe.
The Box Office set he created for xO is a modest but utterly elegant example of his art of the form.

Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
Y-Tower
Y-Tower is the primary support structure of Herman Miller's SAYL™ Chair. The Y-Tower retains tension, replacing the traditional frame of task chairs. It works like the towers from which a bridge is suspended and combines with a 3D Intelligent suspension material to provide frameless back support that hugs the user's back from resting through reclining, forward leaning and twisting motions.
