The visually simple, expertly crafted Arbour Cake Stand was inspired by the form of a tree. A conical central trunk is joined to the cake stand top by a through mortise that locks it in place. This exposed end-grain of the trunk adds detail, and provides a form of decoration to the serving area. A single Arbour Cake Stand can stand alone, or several can be stacked to form multiple levels. Select Natural, Cream lacquered, Pink lacquered or Red lacquered finish.

Ed originally trained as a sculptor at Kingston University before starting work as a designer. Following a successful two years of design projects in furniture and interior design commissions, Ed went on to study at The Royal College of Art, under the professorship of Ron Arad. Since establishing his design office in 2002, Ed has worked on a wide range of design led projects both individually and in collaboration with fellow designer André Klauser, as one half of Klauser & Carpenter. Perhaps Carpenter's most iconic work to date has been the Pigeon Light produced by Thorsten Van Elten in 2002, which since it's launch has gone on to become an international best seller.

Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC

Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC was formed by master cabinet makers Grégory and Marie Bodel and designer FX Balléry. The team's passion for creation, their love of wood as well as their origins in the Jura Mountains of France, gathered them around a common project: to create a French brand of wooden contemporary, useful and elegant objects and small furniture items. And so they turned to compelling designers and the expert wood craftsmen of Jura, who have practiced wood handicrafts - turning out finely detailed, functional accessories and toys - for generations.

The name of the company translates roughly to, "there's no fire on the lake". Based on a French expression, it means "no need to rush". Inspired by traditional craft arts and current technology, Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC small accessories, tableware, vessels and furniture primarily use wood as a poetic, aesthetic and functional vector. Created by a collective of designers from around the world, the Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC products are an invitation to take your time, to contemplate your environment and to share with friends.
