Designer Melka -Teichroew was inspired to explore the idea of asymmetrical wood pieces supporting each other when she examined an image of crooked slats in a weathered picket fence. She noted a similar kind of irregularity and balancing act in the old-fashioned one-legged milk stool. By merging the two concepts she arrived at the Milk Stools, a series of three sturdy but uneven chairs propped up by expressive and lopsided legs. Expertly crafted in beech wood, Milk Stool S03 features substantial legs with a spindly footing. Select Natural or Black Varnished finish. The series offers two other models: S01 and S02.

Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC

Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC was formed by master cabinet makers Grégory and Marie Bodel and designer FX Balléry. The team's passion for creation, their love of wood as well as their origins in the Jura Mountains of France, gathered them around a common project: to create a French brand of wooden contemporary, useful and elegant objects and small furniture items. And so they turned to compelling designers and the expert wood craftsmen of Jura, who have practiced wood handicrafts - turning out finely detailed, functional accessories and toys - for generations.

The name of the company translates roughly to, "there's no fire on the lake". Based on a French expression, it means "no need to rush". Inspired by traditional craft arts and current technology, Y'A PAS LE FEU AU LAC small accessories, tableware, vessels and furniture primarily use wood as a poetic, aesthetic and functional vector.
