Key Features
The Accordeon Table Lamp by Slamp was created by Milan-based, eclectic designer Marc Sadler. A pioneer in research for new materials and techniques, he has brought an innovative touch to all of his projects. Conjuring the image of a textile plisse or an accordion’s bellows, the heated and hand-molded Lentiflex® material that makes up the shade of this piece looks beautiful when displayed in its final, tailored form. Every lamp is individually made in Italy yet is carefully crafted to be identical. Diffusing a warm, uniform light through the textured shade, the body of this table lamp also illuminates and is operated by an independent switch to allow the entire piece to light up or just one portion.
First conceived in 1994 by Italian designer Roberto Ziliani, Slamp lighting has garnered world recognition as being at the top of a very short list of innovative and envelope-pushing lighting companies. Their range of products made of cutting-edge polymer plastics are cold-formed to avoid CO2 emissions, while excess scraps are recycled into beehives. Slamp, with their resounding mantra, "From Italy to Eternity," sets the stage for their newest and most avant-garde collections yet.
