The Benefits of a Pre-Rinse Kitchen Faucet

From my experience in commercial kitchens, I have learned the importance of having a functional work space when entertaining large groups. Pre-rinse faucets and large basin sinks are great tools to have for hosting large groups. Here’s a look into the benefits of having a modern pre-rinse faucet in the kitchen,  as well as a few favorites.

Normally, you’d see these faucets in commercial settings as they tend to be on an industrial size, but bringing one designed for the domestic kitchen into your home both upgrades your space and gives you the same benefits of a commercially designed one. Pre-rinse kitchen faucets are great for the at home chef as they give the look and feel of a professional kitchen set up. They have a high-arc spout and powerful sprayer to help blast away grimmy food from plates, so cleaning that pile of dishes after your dinner party is a breeze.

Faucets like the Vela LD Kitchen Faucet Stainless Steel have very tall spout heights that allow you to wash big pots and pans with ease. The diverter button on the spout also allows you to switch between spray types to gently rinse produce or forcefully spray off stuck food particles.

The Meridian Semi-Professional Kitchen Faucet‘s flexible neck allows cooks to spray food and pots and pans at angles that other kitchen faucets simply can’t reach. Not to mention the grooves on the spout that gives the amateur chef a great place to grip the faucet to manipulate it any direction needed.

If you are looking for a faucet that has similar features, but is a little smaller, the Culina Mini Pull Down Kitchen Faucet is a good choice. The extended arm, holds the faucet spout in place when you don’t want the flexible hose waving freely in the sink. The great thing about these faucets is that you have a large range of motion when, needed and keep the hose in place when you prefer it stationary.

Large farmhouse sinks like the Farmhouse 3018 Kitchen Sink add functionality to your kitchen. The apron front lets you get closer to the sink, allowing you more reach and mobility and leverage while washing dishes. Include the fact that this sink is over ten inches deep and you will have plenty of space to work with whether it is prepping food or cleaning up.

The Precis MultiLevel 1.75 Bowl with Drainer Kitchen Sink pairs nicely with a pre-rinse kitchen faucet. The dual compartments and prep area offer the cook great versatility while in the kitchen. One bowl can be used to wash dirty pots and pans, while your prepare meat in the other bowl and chop vegetables in the prep area. Then simply spray it down with the maneuverability of a pre-rinse faucet.
