Spotlight on Huppe
Originally established in Quebec in 1967 by Raymond Hamel and his two brothers, Aurele and Sylvio, Huppe was acquired by Jean-Francois Nolin in 2010. The brand has since embarked on an excursion to set Huppe at the top of Canada’s high-end contemporary and modern furniture.
The distinct look of Huppe was developed by designer Joel Dupras, which has launched Huppe into it’s current standing as a leader and expert in innovative and sophisticated design. This year things are only looking brighter for Huppe. With the inclusion of new collections, Huppe is ever expanding their reach of modern bedroom furniture.
New from Huppe, the Linea Collection of modern bedroom furniture brings a soft European touch to modern bedrooms. Featuring a bed, dressers, chest of drawers, and nightstands, the contemporary and industrial designs blends the elements of walnut wood, tubular steel, and upholstery.
Simple and sophisticated, the Linea 6 Drawer Dresser has a floating effect thanks to its steel base. Walnut wood is available in a number of finishes ranging from varying degrees of natural to dark espresso shades.
The Linea Bed has a modern grace. The European-flavored lines are softened further by the curved upholstered headboard, while the tubular steel legs and platform style frame gives it an industrial touch.
New finishes have made their way into the 2016 lineup. The bleached, natural finish gives the look of bare wood, its light finish giving the appearance of hand-sanded wood. Opposing to the all-natural finish is the blackened Charcoal finish. And for a unique finish that lies in the middle of the spectrum, the light grey Tortora is created through a process of wiping off layers off of successive coats.
Accompanying these finishes is the KOSY Collection of modern bedroom furniture. Marked by smooth rounded lines and original designs, the collection features a bed, nightstand, dresser, and chest of drawers.
The rounded edges of the KOSY Night Table ditches the trend of squared and boxy furniture. A white oak construction features a lacquered, acid-etched glass top, which adds a reflective touch and luxurious feel.
The KOSY Bed is available in an upholstered headboard and wooden headboard version. It’s headboard is the main attraction, featuring an avant-garde appeal with its sweeping, up-turned wings that are practical and stylish.
