Modern Dining Room Roundup

Here are the latest features from our Instagram that we just keep swooning over. These modern dining room spaces have us loving on see through wire chairs, airy spaces, and making bold modern statements in unexpected places. Here’s a round up of 8 of our most favorite modern dining rooms.

Isn’t @isabell_homelab space absolutely beautiful? Light and airy, these Bertoia Chairs from Knoll open up the entire room. They don’t weigh down a small apartment, and rather than blocking your view they draw your eye through them, giving off the illusion of more space. And we love the contrast of the metal wire with the natural wood in the room.

We’re ones for eclectic commingling, and @lievemar modern dining space dares to mix and mingle. Pair two Spider Stacking Chairs from Bontempi Casa with a Vitra Panton Chair to recreate this look. We love the fresh look of keeping both chairs in a crisp white for unity.

It can be easy to shy away from dark colors in a small space, but this tiny apartment from @joanstirling throws the design rulebook out the window. The heavy hues in this small space aren’t claustrophobic when paired with the wired backs of the Bertoia Barstool from Knoll, coupled with a reflective surface of a large glass tabletop.

Can we talk about unexpected design for a moment here? We just love the modern statement that this space from @architerior makes. The marble topped Saarinen Table and Tulip Chairs, both from Knoll, situated in front of that drool worthy fireplace, gives this traditional dining room a whole new perspective.

Take two classic pieces and pair them together for a modern dining room match made in heaven. @curiogoods marriage of a Petal Dining Table with the Unupholstered Bertoia Side Chair, is only what we can describe as destiny. The result is a complete dining room, a union of furniture soul mates, as Knoll intended, pet cat accessory optional, of course.

An open floor plan is great but sometimes too much space can make a room feel like it goes on forever. Not a problem for @karlagarciadesignstudio. This open common area is grounded from utilizing a table and chairs to create a distinctive dining area using a Saarinen Dining Table from Knoll and Eames Molded Side Chairs from Herman MillerBertoia Barstools at the counter do what they do best by helping to keep things open and airy, while the crisp white dining area helps to avoid closing off the space entirely.

We like to brunch hard around here and so does @carlosinhuis. More than we like brunch is how this classy outdoor affair gets a modern twist with the use of the Vitra Paton chairs. The stark white helps to maintain the sophisticated atmosphere while the sleek and curved design of these chairs allows for maximum guest attendance, no awkward squeezing in at the end of the table here.

It’s pretty clear that we have a thing for Knoll’s Bertoia Barstools, and @kiaarpia keeps our style crush going. Once again, these wire framed chairs have saved the day, keeping an open and airy atmosphere. To say that we think any space could use a pair of these would be an understatement.
