Key Features
True to its namesake (which is French for "hat"), the Produzione Privata Chapeau Suspension is an elegant finishing touch for the well-dressed interior. The soft-edged silhouette is historic yet modern, with a bulbous cap of blown borosilicate glass capping the painted aluminum shade. This unusual detail mirrors the shape of the Clear glass shade beneath while allowing its light to escape above as well as below.
Founded in 1990 by famed Italian designer Michele de Lucchi, Produzione Privata is a small-scale creative workshop dedicated to employing passionate artisans and exploring unique craft techniques. Among the resulting works are exquisite blown glassware and ceramics, which have been put to sparkling good use in a range of distinctive modern pendant lighting, table lamps and decorative vases.
