Key Features
The Closing Disk by FontanaArte creates a streamlined enclosure for the Amax Pendant. Crafted from polymer with a metal stem, this piece attaches to the bottom of the tapered shade to conceal its inner lamping and allow for additional protection against glare while diffusing its light for a softened glow.
Renowned Italian architect, designer and painter Gio Ponti founded FontanaArte in 1932 as the artistic division of glassmaker Luigi Fontana. Ponti used Fontana glass to design lighting filled with his own visionary brand of sensuous, poetic modernism. Today, more than 75 years later, the innovative artists at FontanaArte continue Pontis legacy, creating expressive and transformative modern lighting designs.
