• Made in USA

Originally designed in 1950 by Charles and Ray Eames, the Eames® Molded Fiberglass Armchair with Dowel Base was designed to be simple, elegant and something everyone would want; it was an instant hit because of its versatile design suitable for a variety of situation whether it was used in the kitchen, the dining area, or the office. Unwilling to let the design go, Herman Miller unveiled the highly anticipated reintroduction at NeoCon 2013 and soon after reissued the chair in 2014. Not only did the armchair exhibit the same striations as the original, but it was produced with a safer, less volatile formula for the fiberglass shell with a monomer free dry binding process that was safer for the environment and continued to honor the legacy of the original design. Having never fallen from its original glory, the armchair continues to grace the home and office with its midcentury modern design; never to lose its timelessness.
